June 2009 Week 3
H&M to team up with Jimmy Choo
Since Carrie Bradshaw wore them in Sex and the City, Jimmy Choo has been a hot name on the accessories market.
Following in its long line of collaborations with high-end designers, H&M is to work with Jimmy Choo on a new collection.
The accessories designer, much loved by women all over the world, is a big name for the high-street store to work with.
In the past, the Swedish retail giant has collaborated with everyone from Madonna to Matthew Williamson on ranges.
Tamara Mellon, the founder and president of Jimmy Choo, said: "We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women."
It is expected that alongside the traditional shoes and bags, there will be clothes as well as menswear in the offing.
For those who can't wait for the range, however, the Clothes Agency is positively teeming with Jimmy Choo offerings.
The Jimmy Choo black and gold sling backs are particularly on-trend and versatile, making them a great addition to any wardrobe.
Alternatively, for something a bit more Carrie Bradshaw, the patent raspberry sandals are the perfect eye-catching pair - particularly for summer too.
If you want Jimmy Choo, or any number of designer shoes, the Clothes Agency is where you need to be!
Autumn/Winter trend predictions
Predicting future styles is a tough business, but someone has to do it.
As such, Alice Olins at the Times has given some advice on what to look out for in the summer to take you through all the way to the autumn and winter.
While many may deride the idea that people should be thinking about winter wardrobes already, early summer is the perfect time to get ahead of the game and prove that you are truly on trend.
Among the pieces suggested by Ms Olins are skinny trousers, blazers, super bright tops (as seen on Marc Jacobs) and ankle boots.
For those that do want to get ahead of the game and think about their future wardrobe, the Clothes Agency is the place to be.
The Karen Millen black evening jacket is a great alternative to the more formal and manly blazer and it can be teamed with anything from a skirt to a pair of jeans depending on the occasion.
To hit the bright trend, the Shanghai Tang reversible beaded camisole and the Anouska Hempel gold skirt and bustier are great eye-catching pieces.
If you want to be ahead of the trends, the Clothes Agency can help you!
Jenny McCarthy proves versatility of trouser suit
When it comes to wearing a suit, it can be easy to get it wrong (think Celine Dion at the Oscars in her backwards jacket).
However, Hollywood stunner Jenny McCarthy has proved how to get it just right, and proved that masculine tailoring can be very sexy.
At this weekend's Women in Film event in Los Angeles, the blond beauty donned a white trousers suit and showed that it is not always necessary to wear a designer dress to stand out.
If you have never owned one now is the time to get your hands on one as they are a great fallback for when you can't decide on a more outlandish outfit.
Right here at the Clothes Agency we have a number of stunning suits that can be dressed up or down as needs-be.
The Dolce & Gabbana navy blue suit could be perfect for work – simply team with some heels and a stand out bracelet and you are good to go.
Alternatively, the Tato classic evening trouser suit is great for those that like to make a minimalist statement at parties and it could go just as well with flats or heels.
For all your wardrobe essentials, the Clothes Agency is the place to be!
Jane Seymour proves approaching 60 is sexy!
British-born actress Jane Seymour has proved that growing older need not mean losing style.
The glamorous 58-year-old took to the red carpet for the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in honour of Michael Douglas last night (June 11th) in a racy print number, showing off her enviable curves and toned arms.
While many women cut their hair short and resort to covering up in later life, Jane has proved that it is not necessary for everyone to hide away once they hit 50.
Here at the Clothes Agency we agree with that philosophy and there are a great number of garments that women of any age can wear, feel confident in and enjoy.
The Zara basic smart black wool skirt is a great wardrobe addition to any lady in middle-age with its versatility being the key selling point.
Teaming it with the Anne Fontaine white ribbed cotton wrap-around shirt and you will have instant style kudos. Wear with some chunky jewellery, such as the sea shell bracelet and your look is almost complete.
While many may be tempted to hide away under layers of clothing, we say flaunt it - it is entirely possible to be sexy and approaching sixty, just ask Jane!
Bai Ling bowls over competition in blue
Actress Bai Ling has proved that if you want to make a striking entrance, blue is a great colour to wear.
At a recent premier, the striking Chinese-born actress proved that clashing colours such as blue and yellow (with her handbag) is a great look and luckily it is one that many can pull off.
Bai Ling rarely shies away from bright colours and wild prints - recently she was pictured in a particularly loud monochrome spot jacket.
However, in blue it appears she can shine like many other Hollywood starlets.
Right here at the Clothes Agency we have a number of striking blue pieces that anyone could wear this summer.
The Linodati navy blue wool blend coat with shearling collar is a great option for chilly summer evenings, while the Burberry shift dress reeks of Michelle Obama-style sophistication.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, try wearing blue this summer.
