I bought this suit in 1985 for a wedding and has hardly been worn since.  The skirt is very long and very full.  It flares out from a dropped waist as it is fitting round the hips. I am 5ft 6 and it goes down to my ankles.  The jacket and skirt are fully lined and there is slight padding in the shoulders.  Although it is pure new wool, it has more of a heavy linen feel to the fabric.  It is not soft like wool.
