It's London Fashion Week!

London Fashion Week is now established as one of London's premier events attracting a target audience of key fashion leaders, retailers and press who attend this magnificent showcase of British designer fashion. This unmissable event for all you fashionistas is a veritable cornucopia of breathtaking designer shows, exciting exhibition stands and heavenly clothes for the seasons to come... (plus a bit of celeb spotting for those who enjoy rubbing shoulders with the great and the good!)..

What IS London Fashion Week?

Quite simply, it's the foremost promoter of the new styles emerging every season.
The best designers will unveil their collections to a professional audience of press and buyers who come to London from the UK and cities across the world.

This year the show takes place in the specially constructed tents at the Natural History Museum and at other superb venues across London. 2007 celebrated the largest ever attendance of both press, buyers, photographers and broadcast crews as well as visitors to the exhibition.

Who'll be there?

But it's not just the established famous names, such as Ben de Lisi, Amanda Wakeley and Caroline Charles who'll be unveiling their designs this year. New emerging talent is also on show thanks to the BFC New Generation sponsorship scheme, which was set up in 1993 to support the best up and coming designers at London Fashion Week.

New Gen is recognised internationally and has in the past helped to launch the careers of some of Britain's top designers, including Alexander McQueen, Clements Ribeiro, Matthew Williamson, Julien Macdonald and Sophia Kokosalaki.

Vivienne Westwood All hail to the Return of The Queen of Fashion!

In addition, Vivienne Westwood will at long last be returning to London Fashion Week. After an absence of nine years she will be showing her Red Label collection for Autumn/Winter 2008.

The Red Label is
Westwood's second line of women's wear and it was launched in 1994 targeting a sophisticated fashion consumer who doesn't follow trends but looks for innovative design with a strong traditional British sense of style.

It provides a sexy and elegant look which differentiates it from the more casual Anglomania collection and is composed of exquisitely cut tailoring and dresses for both day and evening as well as Westwood's signature knitwear.

Ethics in fashion - a growing trend..

The exhibition for next seasons Autum / Winter 2008 collections will again play host to the fourth season of estETHICa, the highly acclaimed platform for the best in eco-sustainable fashion, together with the New Generation winners and over 200 more ready to wear and accessory designers..

Consumer led and heralded by fashion press and buyers alike, the estETHICa initiative includes labels that have been with them since the first season: From Somewhere, Noir and Katharine Hamnett, and welcomes newcomers such as Mark Liu, Pibiones and Green Knickers. estETHICa is a testament to directional tailoring and sustainable design with a consideration for production, material, disposal and human resources.

To display the estETHICa label a strict set of criteria such as ethical trade, slow clothes (fashion that is not time based), eco fabrics, the use of recycled materials and organic fibres, must be adhered to.

Hey sounds as if we're on the right track here at The Clothes Agency! Recycyling is our aim!!!

Hope to see you there!
