Makeup tips when wearing nude tones.

When wearing nude coloured tones on the body, the last thing you will want to do is wear them on the face.

Often, sticking to the idea that nude style means the same with makeup can lead to a washed out look.

As such, makeup artist Arianne Poole has given her advice on the best look to go for if you are wearing flesh coloured clothes, Female First has reported.

"You can keep your eyes neutral by blending shades of cappuccino, latte and chocolates," she said.

"An apricot flush of colour on the apples of the cheek [and] a sheer apricot lip colour will give the look balance."

An alternative look is "very soft" eyes with a "sweep of ivory or honey shadow" teamed with brown mascara and honey coloured lips.

Although everyone has their own favourite style when it comes to makeup, some prefer to go all out, while others prefer a more reserved look, the nude approach is one area where it is important to maintain a good balance.
