And The Clothes Agency supports good causes too!!
Since The Clothes Agency was founded in 2004, we've tried to help as many charitable causes as we can and, thanks to the support of our members and the community, we're lucky to have been able to distribute over £18,000 to a number of deserving organisations.

For instance, when the Tsunami struck on the 26th December 2005, we helped to raise thousands of pounds when we ran a month long auction of celebrity clothing in aid of Rebuilding Sri-Lanka - a charity set up by Mark Shand (brother to HRH The Duchess of Cornwall).

In November 2006 we raised over £400 by auctioning a unique piece of pop memorabilia - a hat that was worn by Madonna during her first Blond Ambition tour - those proceeds went to The Labrador Rescue Trust in the UK. Being an animal lover, we hope that Madonna will approve!

And, throughout our Top Drawer catalogues we have raised a considerable amount for other charities, simply by making a donation for every sale to our 'Clothes Agency Charity Purse'!

To continue in that spirit we hope to be able to do a lot more through our community - here's how....
The Celebrity Wardrobe
Over the coming months we'll be adding more and more to our wonderful celebrity wardrobe. All the items will have been donated by the stars themselves and the proceeds will go to helping the charity of their choice.
For instance, Emma Thompson, Goldie Hawn and Kate Winslet have all donated the stunning gowns you see to help raise funds for the continued work of the Rebuilding Sri-Lanka project.
Star of the small screen, stage and the radio Nicholas Parsons has sent us some wonderful vintage items from his wardrobe - many have already found new homes, but there are a few classic pieces left, most of which have been seen on some of our best-loved programmes here in the UK and we will be sending the proceeds to Nicholas who will personally donate them to the charities he supports.
We have also established a warm friendship with www.yumyumcherry.com who source celebrity items in the States and then send them to us to be sold in aid of the Clothes Agency Charity Purse. Amongst those who have donated are Cher, Carmen Electra and Linda Kozlowski.
There will be many more who will be added to the Celebrity Wardrobe, including Nick Knowles, Richard E. Grant and Martin Clunes.

The Clothes Agency Charity Purse
The founder of Clothes Agency, Lady Apsley, is involved with a number of charities and instead of favouring one, it is very much her wish that we help them all by introducing The Clothes Agency Charity Purse to our community.
It will work in a simple way - any money raised by the sale of items donated will go into The Purse and, at the end of each year, the money will be divided equally amongst all the charities with which Lady A is associated.
We look forward to publishing the results at the end of each year!
